Why do country names change after “z”?

To say where someone is from, Polish usually uses z or ze plus a changed country form. This is why Polska becomes z Polski and Brazylia becomes z Brazylii.

For now, do not try to build every form yourself. Learn the full chunks you are most likely to use, especially ze Stanów Zjednoczonych for the United States.
